Baked Tea with Lingonberries

Baked tea is very suitable for this purpose, it is so good that it even cheer me up. It doesn´t contain coffein nor tein, so it´s possible to enjoy it also in the evening without worrying about disturbing the sleep.

One can be very creative with this recipe, use various fruits and spices. It can be used both fresh and frozen fruit. It´s good to mix more sour fruits with some sweeter ones. I reached for the lingonberries because we have plenty of them in the freezer and because they contain a lot of vitamin C, so they boost our immunity system. And that´s very wanted during winter.

Ingredients:

  • 250 g lingonberries (frozen or fresh)
  • 250 g apples
  • 250 g sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon og groung gingerbread spice
  • 0,5 tea spoon of ground cloves
  • lemon juice for serving

Procedure:

Cut appels on small cubes, mix them in baking bowl with lingonberries, sugar and spices. Bake in the oven at 180֯ C for about 45 min. Mix it a few times during baking. Fruit releases its juice, so there is no need to add water. Optionally, a small amount of water may be added.

Fill into clean glass jars when it´s still hot. Close tightly.

For preparing hot drink, put in a cup one tablespoon of fruit and two of juice. Pour over hot water. I recommend adding few drops of a lemon. Enjoy!
